Artist, Addiction Counselor(LADC), Metro State Faculty

I have always been moved and inspired by the arts! I grew up in the Twin Cities of Minnesota and have lived in and studied the arts in Italy and Russia. I attended The School of the Art Institute of Chicago and received a BFA, and a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Time Arts.

Experiencing the effective use of art-making while working with at-risk youth who suffered from addiciton, I became a Licensed Drug and Alcohol Counselor. My internships included Hazelden Center for Youth and Families, Twin Town, and The Retreat. I have been trained in the "Seeking Safety" curriculum for trauma and Stephanie Covington's "Healing Trauma" program, along with "A Woman's Way through the 12 steps".
